Whether it's March and cable organizing fans are celebrating all things green on St. Patrick’s Day, or it’s any other time of the year, you’ll find an array of Greenlee® tools every day at CableOrganizer®.
Greenlee® , along with Paladin Tools®, is one of the brands under Tempo® Communications. The company has a long-standing reputation for high quality, precision, professional-grade tools that network installers and contractors can depend on. But even if you're a DIYer and not an industry professional, we've still got something for you. No matter what sort of project you'll be using them for, one thing is for sure: as soon as you come home with Greenlee® products, all the other tools in the shed are likely to turn green, too…with envy, that is! Here are the Greenlee® — and Tempo®, and Paladin® tools — you’ll find at CableOrganizer®:
TEST EQUIPMENT
CableOrganizer® has an array of Greenlee® and Tempo® tools to test Cat, fiber optic, and phone cables.
The tone generator and probe kits can help identify single conductors or cables. The tone generator features a two-line polarity to quickly and easily classify outlets. It can detect multiple lines with three separate tone output signals. The premium tone and probe kit, which comes in a Cordura nylon case, offers wire identification with accuracy, eliminating power-related noise during tone and probe operations.
Greenlee® telephone test sets feature a waterproof unit that had its performance analyzed when submerged in water. The unit was given an International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) IP67 rating, the IP in the standard short for “Ingress Protection”. The IP67 rating was created to indicate it could resist dust, along with water, for up to 30 minutes in liquid 3.28 feet (1 meter) deep. This product comes with audible and visible mode indicators, a last number redial, polarity testing, mutable microphone, quick-release belt clip, adjustable ringer, and premium cord set.
When it comes to network testing, CableOrganizer® also has the Greenlee® 802K Digital LAN Tracing Kit. It can trace Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 cables with an industry-standard 200FP filter probe, while eliminating hum that can make hearing tracing tones difficult. It also comes with a bright LED that provides visual confirmation of signal strength.
Another Greenlee® cable, wiring, and network testing option is the NETcat® 500 Pro Structured Wiring Troubleshooter. This digital tool tests wire continuity, and measures cable length. There is a separate NC-510 accessory kit with seven expansion remote test modules that can test up to eight coax or twisted pair jacks from a central location.
The 180XL Visual Fault Locator illuminates with a small and safe 1 mW Class 2 Laser, to highlight breaks, bends, or other issues in fiber optic cables. It has a 4.35 mile/7 km range for longer fiber runs. It is a lightweight tool, weighing in at only 0.15 pounds, which makes it easy to use for lengthy periods of time.
This comprehensive fiber optic test kit is under the Tempo® Communications name. The Tempo® Multimode and Singlemode Optical Power Meters and Adapters come with InGaAs (indium gallium arsenide) technology — a compound semiconductor that detects light. The filtered InGaAs can measure high powered optical signals in both singlemode and multimode. Its measurements are taken in calibrated wavelengths of 850, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, and 1625 nm. It tests with 270Hz, 1kHz, and 2kHz tones.
CUTTERS, STRIPPERS & MORE
Kwik Stripper™ Twisted Pair Stripper from Greenlee® cuts cable jackets with ease. It has several settings and gauges to strip various cable types. The tool cuts wires using settings built into the cable stripper. Just slip the cable through the appropriate notch, place your finger into the loop, and then spin the cutter. Once you push the tool from the cable, it takes off the cable jacket with precision.
The Tempo® FSP200 Optical Fusion Splicer splices optical fibers together for a continuous connection. This small and lightweight unit is versatile, whether it’s for LAN, cellular, backhaul, or other fiber installations.
Paladin Tools® Jack Terminator™ can simultaneously cut and meticulously terminate all the conductors in a RJ45 jack in approximately two minutes. It comes with an interchangeable punchdown head that universally fits many jacks. This makes it more convenient for an installer or DIYer, who will have a need for fewer tools. It is ratcheted, which makes the termination more precise, while increasing the comfort of the person operating the tool.
