what is ID size compared to bore size - I see your website specifying "bore size". How does this relate to inside diameter? I am assuming that overall diameter means the outside of the flange to outside of flange. So what size hole do I cut to insert an 8" x 2" grommet?
- The bore size for the steel grommet is the size of the hole you must create in your surface. An 8" grommet will require that you create a hole which is 8" diameter. The overall measure on the top of your table will include the flange and that measurement is 8-3/4".

- The hole you create for this stainless steel grommet is 2-1/2". HC-6123-179 has an upper flange visible on the surface of your table, and this has an overall diameter of 3".

How is the back edge of the ring finished? Is is clean enough that it won't cause a cut arm if you reach through to retrieve something?
