When ordering products like wire loom, braided sleeving and heat shrink tubing, the product’s length is specified per line item. Some general information is below about how to order each of these product types in continuous lengths, or individual segments:
WIRE LOOM
There may be cases when split wire loom convoluted tubing is occasionally shipped in non-continuous sections. For example, if you order 10 feet, you may receive it in two 5-foot sections. Please specify in the “Special Instructions” section during checkout if you need a continuous piece of wire loom instead. Specialty wire loom like Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Convoluted Tubing is often shipped in continuous lengths, though some orders may be sent in segments. It is important to specify if you need your product in a continuous length. Some types may require a price quote in quantities greater than 250 foot reels, like plenum convoluted tubing, or riser convoluted raceway.
BRAIDED SLEEVING
Braided sleeving is often shipped to our customers in continuous lengths, though some spools are spliced during production. Customers may receive a full spool created from two or three lengths. Customers who require one continuous length should specify when ordering. There may be a 10% additional surcharge when ordering continuous lengths in most sizes. Bulk spools are considered “made to order” and are non-refundable.
HEAT SHRINK TUBING
Depending on the manufacturer, heat shrink is available in standard put ups in bags or spools. It also comes in heat shrink tubing kits with smaller segments. Adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing as well as specialty types like Polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE), Kynar®, and shielded heat shrink are sold in 4-foot sticks.
