What's special about Teflon sleeving?
Teflon® (TF) expandable sleeving is ideal in applications where flame, chemical and very high temperature resistance are significant considerations. The high temperature properties of TF make it the ideal choice for aerospace, military, high-tech and plenum applications where thermal stability and low outgassing are critical. TF is braided from 0.16" flame resistant Teflon perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) polymer monofilament. Available in clear color.  |
Chemically inert, thermally stable

- Operating Temp. -94°F to 550°F (260°C)
- Melt Temperature: 310°C/590°F
- Meets BMS 1352 Type 4 (Boeing)

What Makes Teflon® So Special?
Since it's accidental discovery in 1983, Teflon has emerged as one of the most useful polymers in existence. Teflon is inert to virtually all chemicals and is considered the most slippery material on the planet. These properties have made it one of the most valuable and versatile technologies ever invented, contributing to advancements in areas such as aerospace, communications, electronics, industrial processes and architecture.
One of Teflon's most unusual properties was only recently discovered. When strands of PTFE are pulled, they actually get fatter rather than thinner! This makes the polymer incredibly hard without being brittle.

Splicing may occur during the production of this sleeving. Two or three lengths may create a full spool.
Continuous lengths are available in most sizes at an additional 10% surcharge. Please specify if you require continuous lengths.
