What's special about Giga-Punch blocks and bases?
The GIGA-PUNCH™ Category 6 Punchdown System, made up of CAT6 connecting blocks and high density bases, is used as a Category 6 interconnect or cross connect of workstation cabling to equipment cabling, or as a consolidation point in zone cabling applications.The GIGA-PUNCH™ Punchdown System is designed for voice and data applications.

Connector blocks have dual insulation displacement metal contacts that are retained in position using an integral metal member of the contact
- Exceeds all Category 6 Requirements to ANSI/EIA/TIA 568-B.2.1

- High-density base increases wiring capacity by 44% compared to standard 110 systems
- Base positions and holds UTP wire for termination with Category 6 punchdown connecting blocks
- Uses existing 100- and 300-pair 110-style base footprint and mounting dimensions to ensure familiarity to existing installations
- High density bases available with or without legs for a variety of mounting options
- Multiple mounting holes available
- Delivers CAT6 performance using discrete wire or patch cords
- Can be easily substituted for 110 installations
- Positioning of contacts delivers maximum performance by reducing wire pair untwists
