The excellent functionality and reduction of risk of electric shock make these insulated tools great for professional use. The insulation on each tool consists of two layers; a high dielectric white inner layer and a flame resistant outer layer. The high dielectric white inner layer is a thick, exceptionally tough base coating, which is bonded to the tool. The outer layer is a flame-resistant, bright orange color. These tools meet or exceed ASTM F1505-01 and IEC 60900:2004, comply with NFPA-70E, 2004 ed., and are marked clearly with the 1000-volt rating symbol. *Only use tools that are marked with the official international 1000-volt rating symbol if there is any chance that the tool will make contact with an energized source.
