Our 3:1 heat shrink tubing is an effective way to professionally finish the ends of a wire harness. The over-expanded product configuration easily fits over the end of a connector, and shrinks down to 33% of its original diameter to fit snugly over the wires. With our wide assortment of bright colors, now you can attractively color coordinate the ends of our expandable braided sleeving. Our tubing is available in rolls or by the foot.

Adhesive Lined Tubing

Our 3:1 heat shrink tubing is also available with a "dual-wall" construction. During application, the inner layer melts and flows, creating an adhesion layer to ensure a snug fit to your harness and/or connector.
It is recommended for applications that require a water-tight seal to protect wire, cable and connector components.
It can also be used for color coding, such as on industrial batteries where red & black are used as a protective strain relief and to identify the positive (red) connection or negative (black) connection.

LG heat shrinkable and non-shrinkable tubing products do not contain the compound Di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate commonly referred to as DEHP.

Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI)
The ratio of how much oxygen - as compared to other gases - needs to be present in the air surrounding a particular material in order for that material to burn. The fact that Earth's normal atmospheric air contains around 21% oxygen is used a reference point when materials are classified into burn categories that are based on Limiting Oxygen Index. Substances that are combustible in air containing less than 21% oxygen are considered flammable, while those that burn in the range of anything greater than 21% but less than 28% are typically labeled "slow burning". Any material with an LOI that exceeds 28% is classified as self-extinguishing.
