What's special about fire-resistant sleeving?
Silicone jacketed fiberglass sleeving is the choice of professionals in racing, mining and other industries where heat protection from constant temperatures approaching 500° F is mandatory. Fire Resistant is engineered to contain radiant exhaust and coolant heat within pipes and hoses and to protect expensive performance equipment and operators from thermal damage.  |
Cuts easily with scissors
The thick, high temperature fiberglass sleeve is jacketed with a non-permeable, heavy silicone coating that is flexible enough to follow tight radius curves, resists all automotive chemicals and solvents, and provides a substantial level of abrasion and puncture protection, Fire Sleeving will prevent your hot applications from causing damage to equipment and protect wires, cables and hoses from damage due to extreme temperatures. Resistant to hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils and fuels, it insulates against energy loss in piping and hosing and protects employees from burns.

The braided version allows qualified hose assemblies to pass AS1055D testing under stated flow and pressure conditions. The braided version itself meets AS1072. One test is for hose assemblies (1055), and the other is for the sleeving only (1072).
It protects continuously to 500° F and will withstand a molten splash and short term flame exposure at 2200° F. Made of either knitted or braided fiberglass yarns in a flexible substrate that is then coated with high-grade silicone rubber.
Resistant to hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, and fuels, it insulates against energy loss in piping and hosing; protects employees from burns; and allows “bundling” of wires, hoses, and cables.
Aerospace version allows qualified hose assemblies to pass AS1055D testing under stated flow and pressure conditions. If in stock, material can ship next day, otherwise lead time can be up to 3 weeks.
