What's special about the Cable Nook?
Looking for a modular solution to plug your laptop computer or video projector into your conference room table? Tired of crawling under your furniture to plug these items into your wall jacks or electrical outlets? We have the solution for you. The Cable Nook Modular Tabletop Interconnect Box gives you the advantage of being able to store cable ends in a box below the surface of your computer furniture or conference room table. |
It comes as an empty box, and can be configured in many different ways. You can add electrical outlets, phone (RJ-11) snap-in jack, RJ-45 (network) jacks, USB, BNC, Video connectors, and audio connectors. You can very easily hook up a video projector, laptop computer, and a phone.
You can only fit as many accessories as screw holes. A typical configuration would have 2 dual AC modules, and 6 port plate and a 3 port plate (or a two port video and/or audio plate).
Please note: The AC outlets offered on this page are for US power. For Continental Europe (including Germany , France , Italy, UK , and Spain ) Singapore , Hong Kong AC outlets, please call us. All AC modules come with 6ft (1.8M) cord, terminated with a male plug at the end.

Similar to the Altinex Tilt N’ Plug and Pop N’ Plug, the Cable Nook is a great way to access fixed connectors right from the tabletop. The box is mounted to the table, and the door opens up to expose the connections or cables. When closed, the half circle opening in the door allows for access to several wires and cables while the door is closed. The standard color is Matte Black. The Cable Nook offers much more flexibility and many more ports than the Tilt N’ Plug or Pop N’ Plug.

All custom product sales are final and cannot be returned for credit. FACTORY CONFIGURED PRODUCTS: Factory configured products may be returned for credit within 30 days of shipment, and are subject to a 35% re-stocking charge if unopened, and an additional $250 (USD) if returned opened.
Orders cannot be canceled except with our consent. Cancellations are subject to a possible service charge. Cancellations of custom orders and/or special items may be subject to forfeiture for deposit.
Why do Altinex products cost so much?
Unlike mass consumer electronics that are produced in large numbers to satisfy a universal demand, Altinex products are designed for a specialized niche market, so they're manufactured in relatively small quantities. Since their design, engineering and production costs can't be divided among millions of units, small-batch Altinex products have a slightly higher cost per unit. We've used these in all of our conference rooms. Our last installation we ended up modifing the plates that go into the box. This was easily done, and now have USB ports and Cat5E cables that won't walk away from the table. Our Cat5e retract back into the box when done alleviating the cable mess left behind in most conference rooms. Big win!
